DDD Delta Xi Chapter at the University of Missouri Winter 2021 (Continued on page 2) A s Delta Xi enters 2021, we could not be more thankful for our generous alumnae and friends who paved the way for A Fresh Look for 901. Tri Delta means different things to each of us, but we can all be grateful for this common bond we share. If your hope is for generations of young women to have the same meaningful experiences that you had, it's vital that we all pay it forward. Our goal remains to update the interior spaces and address exterior concerns of our house, to not only meet the needs of our collegiate members but also stay competitive. Renovations took place to update the first floor and provide new study and leadership spaces for our chapter members, as well as give the basement a bright and fresh look. Overall, our hope is to create a comfortable and welcoming space for all who enter our doors. Much like your new year's resolutions, it's important to have the support of others to see them to completion. We hope you are impressed with the strides we have made thus far. As the campaign progresses, additional gifts are needed to ensure this project is completed on time and on budget. Now is the time to get involved and help Delta Xi start the new year off on the right foot. As you consider where you would like to designate your charitable dollars in 2021, we hope that you will remember Delta Xi and consider making a gift today. Please make it your resolution to support Delta Xi today. Every dollar brings us closer to our $500,000 goal. She was part of the first pledge class where the member numbers were greater than spots available. Along with eight of her Delta Xi sisters, the Tri Delt "annex" was formed in a duplex her parents purchased in the South Providence Cedar Lake Subdivision. Despite living in the annex, her favorite memories are of the TV room and chapter meetings at Delta Xi. Those memories undoubtedly played a role in her formative Tri Delta experience and her decision to support A Fresh Look for 901 capital campaign. "I love what Delta Delta Delta gave to me. Even though I wasn't a resident at 901 Richmond, that house was the base. It was the headquarters for young women to grow, learn, develop, and share lives together with the same morals and objectives. It is a symbol to me," Missy shared. "A home is called 'home' for a reason. We will all come and go as sisters throughout the Start the New Year off Right by Making a Gift Today Delta Xi sisters (from le ) Susan Maupin Gausnell '80 Jeanne Peistrup Flood '81, Missy Mar ne e Pinkel '82, Connie Moore Sigmund '81, and Lisa Nash Be ag '81. THE DRIVING FORCES OF SISTERHOOD Delta Xi Prepared Campaign Donor Missy Mar ne e Pinkel '82 for Professional Success years, but one thing remains constant: the brick and columns on the corner of Richmond and Burnam." Missy believes it's up to alumnae to protect and build their legacy at Delta Xi even after graduating, to ensure the chapter's future. Donating to the capital campaign demonstrates pride in our sisterhood—who we are and what we believe is in our hearts and in what we see. "Our future can only be captured within the vision in our minds. We must help provide funds and time to make that vision a reality," she said. "I want Delta Xi Chapter to prosper as one of the best in the Mizzou Greek system. The sororities are growing and becoming bigger and better, updating facilities to today's standards. We should be able and want to offer this to our new sisters." Through Delta Xi, Missy found women who became dear friends and role models. She witnessed sisters strive for success and help others, which made a lasting impact on her life.
