e Washington Alpha Delt 4 A s the Alpha Delta Phi Foundation president, Todd Flynn '89 has a great perspective on the National Fraternity's commitment to Building the Entire Man. He takes a lot of pride in that Washington Chapter has played a pivotal role in our overall mission. Todd did his part in ensuring that Washington Chapter will be a premier Chapter by donating to the Many Hands, One Heart capital campaign. "Washington Chapter has really committed to maintaining high academic standards and it has been very gratifying to reward the Undergraduates for all their effort," Todd said. "They had 50 members who made the Dean's List for the fall 2019 quarter; pretty impressive!" Todd is thankful for how Alpha Delt enhanced his social, moral, and intellectual skills to build him as an entire man. His Alpha Delt brothers are still some of his best friends some 30 years after he graduated from the University of Washington. "I developed lifelong friendships, leadership skills, and the ability to live and work with many people in a variety of situations," Todd said. "These have been invaluable as I have moved forward in my career and personal life." Along with serving as the Alpha Delta Phi Foundation president, Todd is the financial advisor and principal of Soundmark Wealth Management. Todd believes the success he's had with Soundmark and previously as a partner in a CPA firm is a direct result of his upbringing in Washington Chapter. "I am challenged every day to provide solutions to my clients' financial concerns and it's incredibly rewarding to help people reach their financial goals," Todd said. "I also love the experience of building and growing a business. I couldn't ask for a better career." Todd also couldn't ask for a better family. He and his Tri Delta wife, Christina, met at UW 33 years ago. Their daughter is a senior in college and their son is getting his Ph.D. at Rice. Todd asks that all his brothers reflect on their careers, families, and all the accomplishments in their life and realize how Alpha Delt has built them into an entire men. He says a wonderful way to show appreciation for Alpha Delt is to give to Washington Chapter's capital campaign. You can connect with Todd at tflynn@soundmarkwealth.com. BUILDING THE ENTIRE MAN AT WASHINGTON CHAPTER Todd Flynn '89 Shares Why He Contributed to the Many Hands, One Heart Capital Campaign "Think back to your experience. Not just the parties and events but everything else that was a part of the fraternity. The fraternity upholds our strong traditions and molds young men for the future. It's still a great place and we need to provide a facility that will support its ongoing success." C onstruction is now fully underway with complete demolition of the east building (known to many as the "new section") and nearly completed interior demolition of the old section. Foundations have recently been excavated and footing concrete has been poured for the new portion of the Chapter House. Vertical framing of the structure is scheduled to begin soon. We are on track in terms of our overall construction schedule and budget. Baring any unforeseen issues, construction is scheduled to be complete by December of 2021. The design and construction teams are working well together, collaborating and meeting regularly with the ongoing intention of keeping a close eye on quality, cost, and schedule.
