We hope that answers your question. Thanks for the change of pace. Dear Annie: In response to ''Wife of the Plumber,'' I have only one thing to say: Get out while the gettin' is good! Her husband is a total narcissist, and nothing is going to change him. Narcissists are superb at conning people, especially those who love them. We are the ones they treat the worst, because we have that unrealistic hope that given time things will improve. After almost half a century, I can attest to the fact that no matter how many chances you give, no matter how many promises they make and no matter how much you love them or how hard you work, it will never change. They see nothing wrong with themselves. It is always the other person's fault. They will not seek help. I urge her not to throw her life away on someone who will never be there for her. I hoped too much and loved too strongly, and although still legally married, I have finally reached the point of emotionally withdrawing from my self-made prison. If leaving is not feasible, she needs to protect herself and her children from the extreme damage that is done by living with this type of person. And get counseling. — Been There, Done That and Escaped Doctor offers free seminar on chronic fatigue CHICO — There is lots of information in the popular press about hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar, and diabetes, which can be confusing. Symptoms of blood sugar fluctuations include fatigue, shakiness, sweating, weakness, irritability, headaches, poor sleep, blurry vision and brain fog. While these symptoms may point to other conditions, they can often be the result of inadequate glucose levels. Without enough glucose to fuel our bodies, it becomes difficult to get through the day and many people become chronically fatigued. When chronic fatigue is not adequately addressed, it can become the perfect host for getting even sicker. Dr. Patrick Giammarise, DC of Chico, CA will be hosting a free seminar 5-6 p.m.on Thursday, May 16 at the offices of the Digestion Relief Center, 2639 Forest Ave., Suite 100. At the seminar, "The Link Between Chronic Fatigue and Low Blood Sugar', residents of the North State will learn about several overlooked causes of hypoglycemia and how poor digestion can create blood sugar problems and chronic fatigue. Traditional approaches to overcoming chronic fatigue overlook several key causes, such as a compromised ability to naturally regulate our own blood sugar, poor digesiton, and hormonal imbalances. For example, some doctors may suggest diet modification or a reduction in sugar intake, but that approach will do little to help treat low blood sugar if the body is not digesting its food well. The seminar is open to anyone who suffers from fatigue and/or low blood sugar, those who know of someone suffering from fatigue and/or low blood sugar or those who would just like answers to what might be causing their chronic fatigue that their doctors have been unable to provide. Upon contacting Villalobos the officer observed a .22 caliber pistol tucked into the passenger seat. • Daniel Christopher Phipps and Eric Ryan Robb were both sentenced to 30 days in Tehama County Jail for possession of concentrated cannabis. Officers observed a car stopped along side the road and proceeded to the location to see if assistance was needed. Upon contacting Phipps and Robb the officers observed the odor of marijuana. A search of the vehicle was conducted and the officers located several pounds of marijuana. • Harley Joe Adkins was sentenced to 90 days in Tehama County Jail for failure to appear on own recognizance and 220 days in Tehama County Jail for transportation of a controlled substance. Officers conducted a search warrant at defendant's residence and located firearms, marijuana, a scale and packaging material. Recent Proposition 36 Commitments Note: All cases wherein a defendant is sentenced per the terms of Proposition 36 are not at the request of the Tehama County District Attorney's Office. Per the requirements of Proposi- tion 36, a defendant who possesses drugs cannot be sentenced to confinement time in jail or prison. Instead, the court must place defendant on probation and require drug treatment alone. Per the requirements of Proposition 36, only upon a third drug related probation violation may the court impose confinement time. In the event the defendant violates a non-drug related term of probation the court may then elect to sentence defendant to jail or prison. The Tehama County District Attorney's Office contends that each criminal case is unique and that in certain, specific, cases a defendant should be sentenced to a combination of drug treatment and jail time. We further contend that in other specific cases where a defendant has an extensive criminal record and/or a history of non-compliance with either previous grants of probation or previous grants of drug treatment, a state prison sentence should properly be imposed. • Roger Lee Massie was sentenced to Prop. 36 probation for possession of concentrated cannabis; possession of a controlled substance. Deputies conducted a probation search at a residence and located Massie in possession of hashish. Officers responded to a domestic violence incident and located Massie in possession of a hypodermic needle and methamphetamine. just for looks cises.
