Responding to the criticism, the unidentified 19-year-old expressed remorse "after years of my think- ing I was doing good. I was only a 12-year-old kid when I started." Beliefs Nguyen Van Chien, 92, from a village in the southern Mekong Delta in Vietnam, hasn't had a hair- cut in almost 80 years. A follower of Dua, a religion banned in Vietnam, Chien believes he has been called to grow his hair, Reuters reported, and his dreadlocks now measure about 16 1/2 feet. "I believe if I cut my hair, I will die," Chien said. "I only nurture it, cover it in a scarf to keep it dry and clean and looking nice." Least Competent Criminals Edward Thomas Schinzing, 32, was charged with arson for allegedly setting fires inside the Justice Center in Portland, Or- egon, on May 29, beginning two months of protest in that city. The Oregonian reported the shirtless Schinzing stood out among about 30 people who broke into the building, vandalizing offices and setting fires, because of the large tattoo of his last name clearly vis- ible across his shoulders on sur- veillance images. Schinzing, who was on probation at the time for domestic violence assault, is be- ing held at the Justice Center. Government in Action Kelly Eroglu in Cwmbran, Wales, was disappointed when her peti- tion to open a coffee shop catering to bicyclists, and including park- ing spaces for bikes, was turned down by the local planning board because it lacked sufficient parking for cars. "It's crazy," Eroglu told The Guardian, "because the Welsh gov- ernment have prioritized (about $450 million) to improve walking and cycling within Wales." Eroglu is planning to appeal. "No way am I giving up," she said. Question: I am amazed that "Yel- lowstone" is never listed as one of the 25 Top Shows. It's so good, and the actors are great. I know it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's beautifully scripted and yes, some scenes are intense. Kevin Costner makes it real. Maybe it's because I was born in Montana and I love the scenery, the horses and cattle. Believe me, "Yellowstone" is a hit, and when you factor in delayed viewing, it's a monster hit. Paramount Network's latest tally for "Yellowstone's" season finale was a remarkable 10.7 viewers in L+3. This show has found its audience, and it's big, loy- al and vocal — as are its critics, but that's always the case when a show makes this much noise. Between the Food Network staple featuring chefs who don't know raw from rancid and the Travel Channel hit built on Casey Webb's ability to devour piles of beef, we can barely stomach it.
