A very simple process, compliments of the Quartzsite Salvation Army. We are doing some curbside sales. I have items listed on Facebook Marketplace and our Salvation Army Thrift Store PAGE. If there is some- thing you are needing, please call and if we have it, I can do a curbside cash sale. A reminder that if I have a piece of furniture out front it is NOT FOR THE TAKING! Divisional Headquarters in Phoenix has notifi ed me that we will not be reopening for July but possibly sometime in August. There will be changes with acceptance of donations and shopping procedures as well. Details as they become available will be posted on Facebook Chatter and our Salvation Army Thrift Store Group and Page sites. I understand your disappointment and appreciate your understanding. Our Pause for Daily Prayer has been so very much received. I do com- municate your comments to the Offi cers in Phoenix. I have asked that these biblical proverbs and daily prayers can continue. We all have a past. We all made choices that maybe weren't the best ones. None of us are completely innocent, but we all get a fresh start every- day to be a better person than we were yesterday. Be the someone who makes someone else look forward to tomorrow. As for me, I choose to see the good in people, my heart is full. I have love for all. Be happy. Quartzsite Elementary School would like to Thank the Quartzsite Police Department, Quartzsite Fire De- partment, Quartzsite VFW and the community for joining the 8th grade promotion parade on May 27th. The parade left the police station at 7pm and went east on Main Street, north on Moon Mountain Ave. ending up at the school where graduates re- ceived their certifi cates. The 2021 Calendar and video theme is "Celebrating the Trailblazing Ac- complishments of Justice Sandra Day O'Connor on the 40th Anni- versary of Her Appointment to the United States Supreme Court." Justice Sandra Day O'Connor was the fi rst woman to be appointed to the United States Supreme Court in 1981. To celebrate, we are seeking entries for two contests: our annual calendar contest for artists between the ages of 5 to 12; and this year we are adding a video contest for ages 12 to 18. Voter registration event July 4th QES updates Transfer station hours Quartzsite Transfer Station is now on their SUMMER hours. They are open Sunday thru Tuesday 6am to 1pm.
