Though businesses have started to reopen, peo- ple are still struggling to make ends meet, to replenish their safety net, to pay their past due bills. Your food bank continues to serve every- one through our grocery, clothing and toiletry distributions. Together, we're ensuring people have a place to turn during their time of need. Your support of donations and volunteering has made a signifi cant difference. Thank You! We could not have done it without you. These were challenging times. We normally slow down this time of the year but instead we more than doubled our distribution of food. During this time we also had a change of management. Holly and Jason moved back east. Taking their place is Dee Nise and Victor Stoe with their son Dakota volunteering. They will need volunteers to help: Carry groceries to the cars Loading and unloading boxes/pallets Breaking down boxes Sorting recycled cans & bottles Without volunteers we do not have a food bank. Thank you to our wonderful volunteers who have been helping us throughout everything this year! I was also impressed with how many people are helping other people by driving them to the food bank or picking food up for them. Thank You, the Friends of the Quartzsite Food Bank appreci- ates your help and I am sure they do also. The food bank is happy to be able to change our hours back to 8-noon Tues and Thurs starting June 16. For more updates read our Facebook page FRIENDS OF THE QUARTZSITE FOOD BANK.
