Congratulations to each and ever y one of you on this remarkable achievement
and milestone. The accomplishment of graduation from South View High School,
par ticularly in our current innovative learning environment, is truly notewor thy.
You have worked hard for four years and are now ready to embark upon the nex t
chapter of your lives. As you prepare to end this segment of your lives, remember the
meaningful lessons you have been taught by your teachers, parents, and even your
peers. Remember the smiles and laughs you've shared throughout your years as a
high school student. After receiving your diploma, you have the limitless ability to
navigate to and through the avenues of higher education, militar y ser vice and the
workforce.
As you continue to compose plans for who you will become, I want to encourage
you to also take the time to embrace the adventures and experiences ahead of you in
the nex t exciting phase of your lives. Your futures will not occur by chance, they will
only occur through preparation and experience. Go for th and
make your future happen! Leverage your youth and liber ty to recreate yourself in
light of who you want to be, not who you are shown or told you have to be.
I challenge you to go out into society, be successful and add success to other people's lives. Show kindness, accept
diversity and strive to make a mark in this state, in this countr y, and in this world. Congratulations Class of 2020, I wish
you the best, and remember, you will always be a South View Tiger.
