I want to take a moment to let you know I am so excited for this awesome accomplishment you have obtained. Can you believe that the reality of your life as it was is no longer? You are no longer a high school student but now a high school graduate. Many people may be focused on the negatives of our current situation but I wanted to let you know that I am so proud of the resilience you have displayed. These past few weeks have shown me that you are grateful, poised and unmoved. You are amazing ... you are a Wolverine! I would like to tell the world that from the Class of 2020 we will see more success in the form of doctors, lawyers, politicians, teachers, etc. Most adults do not hear a harsh "no" until they have interviewed and been disappointed, until the dream job does not lead to promotion, until the entity they love lets them down and/or a realization arises showing that those people designed to be present are absent. You are at an advantage because this, "premature no" has given you the flexibility to prepare for an unknown future. At what appears to be a low point, continue to push through and strive for greatness. This is your time to prove your doubters wrong. Apply for the college of your dreams, travel the world, enlist in the military, or go after the career you never thought you could obtain. Our current state has given v,.ou more reason to fight, more reason to believe and more reason to go after life with all that is within you. Don't be afraid of "no". You learned it the hard way.
