Sigma Nu Announces $1.5 Million Campaign for New Chapter House O ur chapter house on West Mississippi has served as a wonderful home for generations of brothers. While countless lives were shaped behind its doors, it's hard to ignore the lasting tornado damage our home endured last spring. It's time to bring some "new" to Sigma Nu. Our fraternity is not the only one that understands changes must be made to stay relevant. Large-scale renovations and rebuilds are happening just around the block. While we each know the quality of our membership, our facility must reflect the strength of our chapter and keep our competitive edge. e house corporation has carefully evaluated the long-term needs of Eta Zeta and its members, keeping a focus on safety, academics, and recruitment. To meet the ever-changing needs of today's students, alumni leadership has determined that tearing down the house and rebuilding our facility will be the best way to remain competitive in the Louisiana Tech Greek community. How do we accomplish this? By launching the Building on Our Legacy capital campaign. Partnering with Fred Bennett '84 and Architecture Associates, this campaign will provide accommodations for 25 live-in brothers with ample common space for studying and socializing. Among its many features are a grand foyer, covered terrace and patio, game room, and sports court. is new chapter house isn't just for our undergraduates; it will serve as a communal space for alumni returning to campus. While I know this project sounds daunting, the Eta Zeta House Corporation is more than ready to get to work. But we cannot do it without you. Early commitments totaling $947,080 from 68 generous donors have kick-started the race to our $1.5 million campaign goal. It will take support from every brother to get us across the finish line. As you receive more details on the campaign over the next few weeks, I encourage you to reflect on why you joined this fraternity. Each of us committed to a lifetime membership in Sigma Nu during initiation. Now it's on us to ensure that membership still benefits undergraduates and alumni alike. Here's to the next chapter in our fraternity's futureā€”I hope you join us in writing it!
