10 | 2019 Annual Report MOTHER'S DAY LUNCHEON This year we were grateful for the opportunity to honor and remember two wonderful mothers at our 11th Annual Mother's Day Luncheon. This special day honored Nan Drake and remembered Helen Olson for their dedication to their family and contributions to our community. Over $85,000 was raised to support access to vital health care and compassionate hospice services. Each year we have the opportunity to interact with our friends and donors at a variety of events. CAMARILLO FARMERS MARKET Every Saturday, a dedicated group of volunteers come together to run the Camarillo Farmers Market. For the past 29 years, these volunteers have ensured that shoppers have a bounty of fresh fruits, vegetables, plants, and crafts to choose from at the market. The market provides a healthy and local shopping experience and helps support our grief and bereavement services. A portion of each vendor's sales is donated to the market. In 2019, the market raised $67,480. LIGHT UP A LIFE Our 35th Annual Light Up a Life events gave hundreds of community members the chance to gather and honor the memory of their loved ones. This year we added an event in Oxnard bringing the total number of Light Up a Life events to four—Camarillo, Ojai, Oxnard and Ventura. Over $115,000 was raised to support hospice and grief and bereavement programs throughout Ventura County. GARDEN TOUR The 23rd Annual Garden Tour was a huge success. Featuring five beautiful Camarillo gardens and led by an enthusiastic group of volunteers this year's tour raised $34,000 to support grief and bereavement programs throughout Ventura County.
