3 THE ORACLE Naught Without Labor Active Members Prepared and Excited for Lambda Chi Alpha's Future M y time At Indiana University has already included a plethora of life-changing experiences. Being a first-semester freshman—a member of IU's class of 2023—it was unnerving knowing the new environment that I would be entering. However, being urged to participate in fall recruitment, I felt it would be a great opportunity to gain comfort on campus. It was indisputably the best decision I could have made. As soon as I walked into the house and met the active brothers, I knew I had to be a member of Lambda Chi Alpha. Despite its transitional status and lack of overall members compared to that of the past, the atmosphere of Lambda Chi Alpha was nothing short of welcoming and brotherly. Also, as far as becoming the president of this fraternity, it is as much of a shock for most people as it was for me. Although it may seem unconventional, it has proven to be an optimal decision because of the growth I can have as a leader along with the growth of the fraternity. In regard to Alpha-Omicron Zeta, it is mostly comprised of our newly initiated fall class members. The morale behind this group of young men is second to none as they are a clear depiction of respectful and upstanding gentlemen. Speaking as the High-Alpha, it is my utmost priority to ensure a safe and conducive environment to promote their growth both as a member of our fraternity and a student at Indiana University. On behalf of my brothers, I am eager to grow and reestablish this fraternity as one of service and success as it once was on IU's campus. I would be remiss to not mention the roots of our upbringing, which undoubtedly lies in the support of past Lambda Chi Alpha members. A special thanks to High Pi Joe Folkening, as none of our success and rebuilding efforts would occur without his help and support. For the rest of our alumni, please visit us or contact me directly to meet and ensure the legacy of Alpha-Omicron Zeta.
