On January 11, 2020, a meeting between VFW Borderline AZ Riding Group and Freedom Riders AZ Riding Group was held to discuss work- ing together to do more for the Veterans and local communities around Quartzsite. A lot of great information, thoughts and decisions were addressed at the table. The Freedom Riders Riding group voted unani- mously to join forces with the VFW Borderline AZ Riding Group and do a "Patch Over Party." The Freedom Riders Riding Group of Quartzsite Az. is "no more." Freedom Riders M.G. has laid down the patch for better good. From here on out, the VFW Borderline AZ Riding Group will continue with the same duties of the Freedom Riders did in the past 3 years; honor veteran's and charity events for the local communi- ties. Now with more riders it will be easier to get to outside communi- ties to honor veteran's and participate in more events. From here on forward many new friendships and adventurous motorcycle rides down the desert highways to come. LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. – The Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) Lake Havasu Field Offi ce has completed a two-month im- provement project at Bass Point Day Use Area to remodel an in- formational kiosk, repair fence posts and cable, paint and repair the vault toilet, remove overgrown vegetation, and lay gravel in the parking area. The maintenance staff also posted new educational signage to improve the visitor's experience. The recreation area will be available for public use starting January 8. This improvement project will al- low enhanced recreational oppor- tunities as well as provide fi shing access to the Colorado River along the newly constructed hiking trail. "Improvements like these are part of BLM's priority to enhance recreational opportunities along the river," said Jason West, Lake Havasu Field Manager. "We are excited to complete this project to create a safer and improved recre- ation experience for visitors." Bay Point Day Use Area is situ- ated along the California side of the lower Colorado River within the Parker Strip Recreation Area. The site provides river access for fi shing and swimming, picnic areas and restroom facilities. The site is managed by the BLM Arizona Lake Havasu Field Offi ce. How does each individual become one of the called in Christ? In II Thess. 2:13-14 Paul says, "God hath from the beginning cho- sen you to salvation – through sanctifi cation of the spirit and belief of the truth. Wherewith, He called you by our gospel." First, God wills all men come unto the truth and become saved through belief and obedience to that truth. In Rom. 10:17, Paul says, "Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God." Faith, belief, trust, and obedience to the word of God causes one to believe and obediently follow the steps it takes to be saved. Believe the gospel-repent of your sins-publicly confess your faith in Christ-be buried with Him in baptism in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and be raised to walk in newness of life.
