The public is encouraged to attend. Topics will vary, however anyone may speak on any Town issue. The Library is located at 465 N. Plym- outh Ave., Quartzsite. Stay tuned and keep the evening of February 10th open for a Band Scramble at the Quartzsite Improvement Association (QIA). Conra Marsh is returning to town to conduct the event. She's hoping to see many of her friends at the Scramble (Conra was for years the jam master at Holiday Palms and now lives in Washington.) Just what is a Band Scramble? Folks who play a musical instrument, whether in a band or not, put their names "in the hats" according to instru- ment played. Conra draws names out until she has fi ve or six different instru- ments (depends on number available) and thus forms bands. The bands have 20 minutes to practice and then perform for the crowd. Bands receive all the door money as fi rst, second or third prizes. The audience gets to vote for the band it likes best. So you can see we need both players and audience! There will be entertainment during the practice time so the audience won't have time to be bored. It's fun for the crowd and challenging for the musicians. If you're a musician, come and prove your stuff! Past Scrambles have been a lot of fun and this one should be too. It's at the QIA Monday, February 10th . And it's only $5 for an evening of fun and entertainment. Musicians pay too because the money comes back to them in the form of the prizes. Musicians can register and start getting organized between 5 p.m.-6 p.m. and the "concerts" begin around 7 p.m. Don't be late! ABDN BLSECAMR Ye old-timers auction time again!!!
