"It's getting down to crunch time and people need to get their AZ Travel ID," said MVD Stakeholder Relations Manager Jennifer Bowser Richards. "We don't want to see trav- el plans ruined because fl yers don't have an ID that the TSA will accept. That's a very real risk for people who don't get an AZ Travel ID." Customers should begin the ap- plication process at aztravelid.com. They can make an appointment at servicearizona.com to visit an MVD offi ce, or visit an Authorized Third Party offi ce that provides license and ID services. In order to get the AZ Travel ID, customers need to bring in a docu- ment such as a birth certifi cate or valid U.S. Passport to prove iden- tity and a second document with their Social Security number. Fi- nally, two pieces of documentation proving Arizona residency such as a utility bill, bank statement or some- thing similar with a current name and physical address (not a P.O. Box) are also needed. The AZ Travel ID replaces the current license or ID and re-sets the expiration date. The cost is $25, and under federal law, it's valid for 8 years. Bowser Richards added, "There are customers who plan to simply use a Passport even if they're just fl ying to someplace like Atlanta, Denver, or L.A., which is their choice, but we suggest that the AZ Travel ID is more convenient. Other customers have told us they rarely, if ever, travel by air, but having an AZ Travel ID would be valuable in case of an unexpected trip that re- quired air travel." We are privileged to share the Holi- days with them, and we can't thank them enough for giving up their personal family Christmas and New Year's to be with us. Bobbie G. Rice still lives in Nash- ville where he was a star of the 70s and 80s with hits like "Sugar Shack," "You Lay So Easy On My Mind," and "Pick Me Up On Your Way Down," along with others. He had 30 Bill- board Chart hits with music most of us remember; and he will recreate it again here in Quartzsite and Brenda. Bobbie says, "I grew up in the business and it's been quite a ride." At fi ve years of age he sang with his family group at the Circle D Ball- room. Later he became a featured vocalist on radio and then tried Rock and Roll for two years. He was happy to return to Country / Western. He has three daughters, three granddaughters and a great granddaughter. All girls? "Yes," he laughs, "Girls are okay. I like 'em." James Marvell (accent on the last syllable) shares the stage with Bob- bie. His accomplishments include being number 2 on the bill board in 1969. Not so great you say? Num- ber 1 was "The Beatles" and number 3 and 4 were Elvis "In The Ghetto" and Frank Sinatra "My Way." Rath- er heady company! James was billed as the "Anti-drug Country Outlaw" at one time. His pictures as the "Country Cavaleers," as a pirate-looking guy dressed in black with black hat and long-long- fl owing wavy black hair. Today his love is Gospel music and he has "over a dozen hit Gospel records." The two artists will perform sepa- rately and together. Interviewing them over the phone, I found both of them personable, easy going and fun. They seem pleased to be shar- ing their Holidays with us and let's be sure to remember their dates: DEC. 26 at Desert Gold, in Brenda 7p.m. $12. (509-680-5791). DEC 27 at Gold Star RV Park, in Quartzsite 7 p.m. $10. (208-921- 7148). DEC 29 at the Alliance Church Quartzsite, 6-8 p.m. offering, (541- 736-6644).
