We send the following type of infor- mation to your cell phone: 'road clo- sures, severe weather alerts, serious crime information, Amber alerts, etc. By signing up with NIXLE, we are able to communicate important information to everyone quickly and effi ciently via text message. Please sign up today, the service is free. Come pick a card of a Quartzsite child and make their Christmas special. We still have cards on our Angel Tree for you to choose and go shopping for our children. Sometimes these packages that will be delivered by our Quartzsite Fire Department are the only gifts that these children will re- ceive. Thanks for earning your Angel wings. We are also ringing bells for The Red Kettle Campaign Volunteer to be a Bell Ringer You can select your day, time, and location. VFW Post 769 Auxiliary is sponsoring a Wreath Ceremony to honor all veterans. A Wreath pa- rade will leave the VFW at 12:20pm on December 14th to go to the cem- etery. The parade will be led by VFW Rider Group and followed by wreaths and all who wish to join the parade. A placing of the wreaths in front of the Hi Jolly Monument will precede the ceremony. The Junior Honor Guard will present the fl ag to being the ceremony. The wreaths will remain at the sight for three hours, when they will be removed to the VFW Post 769 where they can be placed outside for all to view. Remember the mission of this day is to remember, honor and teach our children the value of freedom.
