20 www.DesertMessenger.com December 4, 2019 Rainbow Acres Christmas Boutique Rainbow Acres Christmas Boutique and Street Fair Friday, December 13, 2019 Location: Felspar Avenue/ Rainbow Acres. Time 9 am to 3 pm Mark Your Calendars!! We have worked hard this summer to again have a fabulous Christmas Boutique and street fair in Rainbow Acres. In the past we have had as many as 60+ artists and crafters participat- ing and showcasing some of their fi nest hand made work. Returning artists and new folks, as well, are already signing up quickly and we promise you that it will be even big- ger and better then before. This event will be held on Felspar Avenue in Rainbow Acres with vari- ous artists and crafters being placed on many of our lots. You will enjoy the convenience of strolling and en- joying a variety of beautiful paint- ings, jewelry, homemade jam/jel- lies, ceramics, knitted/crocheted items, and much more. Hopefully it will help you with your holiday shopping since Christmas is right around the corner. While you are shopping you can take a break and enjoy a delicious coffee and baked goody provided by Mar- ketplace Java. If you get hungry you can enjoy a quick lunch at our Hot Diggidy Dog Stand (hot dog chips and a water) all for $4.00 with pro- ceeds going to the charity we have chosen for this year- Hero Comfort. We are doing this to honor Anita Carlson, who has for many years sent care packages twice a month to sev- eral military troops actively serving in Afghanistan. Our donation will help with postage and in providing that these men and women are not forgotten by those of us at home. We have added a new raffl e to our event as well. Many of our talented artists will be providing an art piece that is worth at least $50.00 or more. If your raffl e ticket is chosen, you have the choice of whichever piece you would like to have. We will select three winners. Tickets will $1.00 per ticket, 6 for $5.00 and a yard worth of tickets for $10.00 We will have door prizes of items donated by our other artists and crafters. These tickets will be $l.00 per ticket or 6 tickets for $5.00. Again, all proceeds from both the raffl e, the door prizes and the hog dog stand will be given to Hero Com- fort. Come and support the troops and you might be lucky enough to go home with a beautiful piece of art or a lovely door prize. Drawings will be held at 2:30. Do not have to be present to win. It can be done by a phone call or text. We all know someone who has fallen and could not get up for some reason and laid there for days. This will hopefully eliminate that from happening. When you ask to join you will be asked a few questions and then you will check in every day before 9 am so we know you are ok. If you would like to be part of the Phone Tree call 480- 286-8373.
