Theta Iota House Corporation c/o Lu Maloney Montgomery 10764 S. Carbondale St. Olathe, KS 66061 Address Service Requested Crescent The Golden her military life experience. "My son's father was a company commander and battalion commander, and I was the family readiness coordinator," she stated. "As such, I made junior officers' wives feel like part of the unit, hosted events, did fundraisers, networked, attended parties, and connected our families with each other." Sabine is a woman of many interests. She enjoys traveling, having lived in Korea and visited Tokyo, Japan, as well as Spain. She vacations in Germany twice a year to rediscover what it means to have a German background. She describes herself as "notoriously curious," and she especially enjoys hands-on activities, such as baking, cooking, sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She loves to visit museums and enjoys music and dance. She is in the process of restoring a second empire home and trying to recreate the original trim. She feels her strengths include patience, listening, and the ability to seek out solutions to any problem that arises. She asks a lot of questions and usually find the answers. Sabine describes herself as "a self-starter, independent, and take-charge individual." However, she has always encouraged the independence and growth of her son, and she said she would respect this where "her" Tri Delta girls are concerned as well. Challenges of the job? Sabine replied that she had just mastered one challenge related to the live-in policies, and that she continues to work on integrating the various guidance from the house corporation, national sorority, and the chapter. She stated that in her view, the biggest challenge Theta Iota faces in terms of the Chapter House is its age and the age of its systems. Sabine describes her feelings regarding Theta Iota: "I love the Chapter House, and I am proud to call it my home now. I enjoy all the energy that the girls bring with it and appreciate that the house is being well used. I am also glad that the house corporation cares so much about the house and the girls."
