FIJI Jayhawker 2019 Honor Roll Graduate Donors Join the Eight-Bucks-a-Month Club W e are very grateful to the following Brothers who contributed $18,905 to our annual campaign in 2019. The support you give makes a difference to our Chapter and its future. Our Undergraduate Brothers greatly appreciate your generosity. We hope more Graduate Brothers will join their Brothers and contribute to our ongoing annual campaign. If an error has been made in recording your name or you've been mis- takenly omitted from our list, we sincerely apologize. Please contact our campaign coordinator at (785) 843-1661 with any corrections. because as we bring in more key people, we can make more impact and ultimately change more lives." Along with helping Watts of Love distribute 40,000 lights in more than 46 different countries, Kevin delves into his artistic background to build the nonprofit's vision and brand through images and videos. "I've photographed and created stories on tons of celebrities. However, I am way more passionate about photographing and telling the stories of the people I currently serve," Kevin said. "It's more rewarding to create these images and these stories than anything else I've ever done in my 28-year career." Those same FIJI Brothers who dreamed of having Kevin's job at Playboy have been instrumental in his success with Watts of Love. His Brothers have helped him with graphic and industrial design work, legal assistance, and financial donations. Kevin has organized two music festivals in Kansas City to benefit Watts of Love and has been overwhelmed by the support of both the Pi Deuteron Undergraduates and Graduates. "It's very, very, very humbling to receive that help because I know they're moved to help the people we serve," Kevin said. "There is a part of me that knows that it's because of my relationship with them that moves them to then want to help Watts of Love. I'm the conduit to the support, but it's always very humbling." Kevin considers joining Phi Gamma Delta to be one of the single best decisions he's ever made. He returned to Lawrence in October to be the guest speaker for Pi Deuteron's annual Pig Dinner, and Kevin was thankful to share his story about Watts of Love with those who hadn't heard it. There is much work to be done for Kevin in the next few months, as he has trips planned to Ethiopia, Guatemala, the Philippines, and Uganda. It won't feel like work, though, when Kevin sees several smiling faces under the lights he's providing. You can connect with Kevin at kevin@wattsoflove.org. To donate, get more information or travel on the next Watts of Love trip please visit www.wattsoflove.org.
