CHAPTER ETERNAL Ernie Bebb '51 entered Chapter Eternal on October 18, 2018. Ernie was a dedicated member of the Episcopal Church, ordained into priesthood in 1987. He served All Saints Episcopal Church as an associate priest before retiring in 2015. As a true man of service, Ernie was a lieutenant and eventually a captain in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1958. Ernie also served on the Foothill Club of Rotary International, Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office, and Salt Lake County Allocation Panel. Education was very important to Ernie. After receiving his master's degree at Michigan State, he became the director of Hewitt Union at the State University of New York-Oswego. Ernie then became the director of the Olpin Union at the University of Utah, where he served from 1968 to 1995. He was then elected to the Professors Emeritus Club following retirement. Ernie became president of the Association of College Unions International in 1976 and received ACUI's top honor, the Butts Whiting Award, in 1983. Stephen H. Leeper, D.D.S. '54, 83, entered Chapter Eternal on July 14. He worked for 37 years at his alma mater, the UNMC College of Dentistry—the final 10 years as dean. He also served as president of JDRF International and Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honorary. His passions included his family, the Cornhuskers, Alpha Tau Omega, and fly- fishing. Stephen was a former Worthy Master and proud ATΩ. Rady A. Johnson '57 entered Chapter Eternal on March 21 in Richmond, Va., surrounded by his five children. Rady began his career practicing law in North Platte, Neb., for several years before returning to Washington, D.C., to pursue public service—first as a congressional aid on Capitol Hill, followed by a civilian post at the Pentagon as the assistant secretary of defense, legislative affairs, where he traveled to Vietnam several times to advise Congress on the status of the war. As an avid golfer, Rady spent time with friends, family, and colleagues walking fairways, sharing stories, and occasionally making a long putt. He was a faithful parishioner at St. John's Catholic Church in McLean, Va., for more than 30 years and more recently at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Kilmarnock, Va. Rady enjoyed Colorado ski trips or beach vacations along the east coast with family. ALUMNI NEWS Duane Hueneke '50 had a successful knee replacement at the age of 88. He writes, "Go Coach Frost and Huskers!" He lives in Lakewood, Colo. Eugene Haman '58 lives in a senior living cooperative in Minneapolis, Minn. He has been blessed with good health, and still visits Lincoln for one or two football games every year with his son and grandson. He later moved to Denver to join American City Business Journals (Denver Business Journal) and McGraw-Hill Construction as a regional manager. He became the publisher at Colorado Construction & Design, Inc., Colorado's leading construction news and marketing magazine, in 2009. Mike married St. Louis native Nancy O'Brien in 2004. She is a Tri Sigma from Southeast Missouri State and a retired accountant and past president of Denver Area Panhellenic. Mike and Nancy live in Lakewood, Colo., and have three grown children and six grandchildren. He plans to retire soon and spend winters in Scottsdale, Ariz. Over the last year they have staffed close to 200 companies, and their weekly payroll often reaches 500-plus employees. "Business ownership is not for the weak or lazy, but has proven to be ever so rewarding," he states.
