Phi DelTa TheTa 3 Phikeia Education Changes Foster Positive, Safe Fraternity Environment A s part of the 148th class of our long-standing brotherhood, I have spent the past three years proudly representing Indiana Zeta Chapter as an executive committee member: as the Phikeia educator of the 150th class and now as the alumni secretary. Building Our Brotherhood Our Chapter nationally led the charge for shortening Phikeia education to only four weeks. Not only did we bring in more new members than any other Greek organization on DePauw's campus, but we successfully educated our newest brothers on the principles of Phi Delta Theta in record time. As Phi Delts, we proudly denounce any forms of hazing and focus daily on the positive development of all brothers. The new four-week plan was a large step in the ongoing effort for a safe and welcoming Chapter. Indiana Zeta Shapes Leaders and Scholars In addition to changing our Phikeia education program, we also had many standout brothers who went above the call of duty to serve around campus, in our community, and for our country. Sam Kramer '20, executive committee member, was recently named the captain of the DePauw soccer team and has hopes of leading the Tigers back to a conference championship this year. Honor Scholar and Indiana Zeta Vice President Grayson Honnen '20 is the recipient of the 2019 Lund Scholarship for exemplifying bold leadership, continual community service, and excellent scholarship. Chapter President Nick Redwine '20 is a member of the Reserve Officer Training Corps and proudly spent the summer training in Fort Knox for his future involvement in the United States military. Nick plans to enter active duty after graduation and commission as a second lieutenant with hopes of entering the infantry or armor branches. These Phis represent our Chapter's ability to select and develop men of principle who are willing and able to achieve high marks in the classroom, chapter, and the world outside 446 Anderson Street. Alumni Support Vital to Chapter's Success Indiana Zeta brothers are grateful for the steadfast alumni support that affords us these life-changing opportunities to grow as men at DePauw and beyond. We encourage alumni to reach out anytime you are in Greencastle. We would be thrilled to welcome you home.
