Let them know that Tau Chapter is better than ever! I n true Theta Chi fashion, brothers of Tau Chapter are diving headfirst into the Fall semester. Many have hit the ground running with involvement in a multitude of organizations on campus. This Fall, we are looking forward to our alumni tailgate, Fall philanthropy, and another successful recruitment. DESERVING OF ACCOLADES Tau Chapter had a very successful 2018-19 year. In addition to securing one of the highest grade-point averages throughout Greek life, Tau Chapter excelled in university and fraternal relations. At this summer's Theta Chi Initiative Academy, Tau Chapter received the Chapter Excellence Award. This is the second highest award a Chapter may earn, and it is thanks to the dedicated brotherhood that we achieved this honor. We also received an award for Chapter recruitment with 47 initiates throughout the past school year. In terms of university relations, our fraternity has gone above and beyond to receive the second-highest accreditation rating. RESOLUTE MEN HIGHLIGHT Matthew Gomez '18 is the director of operations of Gator Growl and is working hard to ensure a safe and enjoyable festival during Homecoming week. James Wheeler '16 and Adrian Badjenki '16 are leading Student Government Productions to produce concerts of all genres for students at the University of Florida and members of the Gainesville community. Tyler Jerd '16 just finished two years as president of the wakeboarding club and Christian Kechriotis '18 is taking the reigns as the new president this semester. They hosted a successful contest at Lake Wauberg last semester. Brothers like these and many others not highlighted here maintain our strong campus involvement. Outside of the university, Tau Chapter men are making waves as entrepreneurs. Isaac Hetzroni '16 is the founder and CEO of Imprint Genius and is looking to revolutionize physical promotional items with data-driven marketing and innovative products. Robert Schulte '17 is a beekeeper and founded a business where he sells honey products to raise money for honeybee research. THANK YOU, ALUMNI We want to thank all our alumni for your continued support of Tau Chapter. Your support makes it possible for our brothers to remain an integral part of campus. We want to remind you that visits are always encouraged if you'd like a tour of the house and to meet some brothers. We believe Tau Chapter has been consistently raising the standard for fraternity men nationwide and will continue to excel throughout the Fall semester.
