Email: rcarp@ sprynet.com Kenneth Frick '66 was a 1989 member of the U.S. team on Mt. Everest and the only member to make it to the summit. He even donated a picture to the new Chapter House. David lives in Westlake, Ohio. Email: seagrum@ameritech.net Alan J. Alan periodically sees Denis DeVlaming '69 as his law office is close by and watches Buckeye football at a designated alumni sports bar. He lives in Clearwater, Fla. Email: ajv1437@yahoo.com Roderick J. Dean '72 and his wife, whom he met in Canada after transferring in 1970, have been spending their winters in a gated community in Spring Hill, Fla,, called Timber Pines. They play a lot of golf since there are three golf courses in their community of approximately 6,800 people. They still have their home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and a condo on Lake Erie in Port Clinton, Ohio. The couple is very active and thoroughly enjoying retirement. Email: rod.evie@gmail.com William P. McKinnell III '73 has been working with his own defense communications contracting business with COS Office in Australia and with a small horse ranch in Germany's Black Forest. His youngest child recently began at the U.S. Air Force Academy; he has a son who is a pilot for the USAF; and two daughters: one with a Ph.D. and one with a master's in physiotherapy and business. William travels internationally quite often for work, and he looks forward to visiting Ohio soon. "Blessed for sure." E-mail: bmckinnell@ comcast.net Frederick J. Regner '74 is the founder and president of EEI Recycling, which works to recycle plastics worldwide; their website is www.eeirecycling.com. He lives in Saint Petersburg, Fla. Email: tjweck@gmail.com Christopher L. Collins '04 keeps the urban dream alive in downtown Chicago despite having two little ones and a dog. There is a myriad of Theta Deltas in the windy city, and they all continue to be close friends. He reports it's surreal to now have "play dates" with their kids rather than go bar hopping. Christopher runs the sales organization for a series B tech startup in Chicago called UrbanBound. Their software helps employers relocate their employees for work anywhere in the world. Christopher continues to paint canvas and flex that creative side of his brain, but the hours available for hobbies are limited. "If anyone is moving to Chicago and needs help finding a job, I am more than happy to be a resource." Email: collins497@gmail.com Blaise R. Kimmel '17 reports that his research at Northwestern is focused in the field of synthetic biology under the discipline of chemical engineering. Utilizing the tools of synthetic biology, he is constructing a molecular machine that selectively targets cancer cells and provides antibody-directed enzyme prodrug therapy. This work aims to eliminate conventional chemotherapy by injecting patients with a non-toxic drug that can be converted to a standard chemotherapeutic drug at the site of the cancer cell by use of the machine. His other project is in the production of biofuels. Blaise seeks to optimize biosynthetic pathways in anaerobic bacteria to optimize biofuel production from carbon- rich pollution sources, such as coal-fired power plants. Feeling the thrill of a new house and a new school year, members moved in August 15-17 with great enthusiasm. Each year brings new excitement as members get to know each other better by living, dining, and socializing together. Dining in Style Campus Cooks is our food provider, complete with Chef Stephanie Ryan, who has been a big hit with the membership during her first two years with Theta Delta. Members can request "favorite" entrees, order late plates, and rate the meals on their Campus Cooks app. We increased the dinner portion size at the beginning of 2019 at the Chapter's request. Thankful for Old and New Staff Antonio Duran completed his two years as house director for Theta Delta, earned his Ph.D. this past semester from The Ohio State University, and is now an assistant professor at Auburn University where he will be a tenure-track assistant professor in their Administration of Higher Education. We thank Antonio for his service to Theta Delta and wish him nothing but the best in his new position. Our new live-in house director is Kenton Reason. Kenton graduated from Ohio State with a bachelor's degree in public affairs, magna cum laude in May 2017, and is now working toward a dual master's degree in health administration and public health. As an undergraduate, Kenton was a resident manager, supervising 30 direct reports and 1,100 students for Stradley-Park Hall, and a house manager for Sigma Phi Epsilon. Visit Us Anytime! We continue to add enhancements to the Chapter House for the benefit of our active brothers. The house is fully secure, but if you are visiting Columbus you are welcome to stop by, see the facility, and meet the undergraduates. Just knock on the front door! Or let me know in advance and I will make sure you get the full experience. Yours in _kai_, Joe Chinnici '64 House Corporation Board President jac2211@aol.com
