BQP THETA DELTA DRAGON Beta Theta Pi at The Ohio State University • Fall 2019 Increased Alumni Support Vital to Reaching Campaign Goal Let's Write Theta Delta's Next Chapter Together S ince Beta Theta Pi's A Return to Principles: The Campaign for Theta Delta began, brothers have received multiple mailings updating them on our fundraising efforts, the completion of our outstanding Chapter House, and the need to raise more funds to pay down the construction loan and secure Theta Delta Chapter's future at The Ohio State University. Mutual Assistance Begets More To date, 151 brothers have committed $3,710,867 to the campaign. This represents just 11.5% of our members participating; the average rate of participation for a successful Greek capital campaign is twice as much. Imagine what we can accomplish if twice as many alumni pledge their support of Theta Delta Chapter. Our aim is to reach at least 20% participation of active alumni. When we come together as brothers, we can achieve more. Many hands make light work, and with the support of additional Beta Theta Pi alumni, we are confident we will reach our goals. We would be honored to add your name to the enclosed list of donors helping us do so. We ask that you consider a commitment of $2,500, payable over the next five years, to help us achieve our $5 million goal and help put Theta Delta on solid financial ground. We must work together to relieve the burden of debt for our undergraduate brothers. Breaking Down Your Donation We truly understand a pledge of $2,500 might take some sacrifice. However, broken into monthly payments, this pledge costs only $42 per month. Can you spare $42 a month for Beta Theta Pi? We often spend this same amount on non-essential items without even noticing. By assigning this sum instead to Beta, you will enable today's collegiate men to have the same life-changing experiences you received. Your gift will go far in creating a brighter future for Theta Delta and enhancing the undergraduate experience for our brothers following in our footsteps. Additionally, if you are 70 1/2 years or older, please see the IRA article regarding donation options to the Beta Theta Pi Foundation on page 2. Pay It Forward I urge you to please do your part today by returning the enclosed pledge card with a gift to commemorate the time you spent at Theta Delta and ensure Beta Theta Pi's legacy at The Ohio State University. The need is real and the opportunity is great for us to provide for the next generation. Don't wait for someone else to finish the job, we need your support today.
