LINCOLN — Expectations are up in Lincoln following an 8-3 season in which the Wolves snapped a 19-game losing streak to Prairie Grove and made the State 4A playoffs. Graduated from the 2018 squad are All-Star quarterback Caleb Lloyd and top receiver Sterling Morphis prompting many preseason predictions to write the Wolves off or at least downgrade projec- tions. Head coach Don Harrison won't allow that kind of thinking to enter the minds of his players. Harrison makes no bones about wanting Lincoln to compete at a playoff level every season and the Wolves are once again poised to earn a postsea- son berth. Winning last year not only has the Lincoln boys hungry for more, but according to Harrison raises the bar. "Not only that, but I think it also shows them that, 'hey, it can be done.'
