AUGUST 21-27 2019 UCW 23 WWW.UPANDCOMINGWEEKLY.COM WEEKLY HOROSCOPE NEWS OF THE WEIRD by the Editors at Andrews McMeel Syndication T(winning) Keep up with us here: On Aug. 1, identical twin broth- ers Andy and Chad Baker of Nashville, Tennessee, were on their way to the annual Twins Day Festival in Twinsburg, Ohio, in their identical blue Tesla Model 3s, when an Ohio state trooper pulled them both over for having identical license plates, reading "SUBJ TO." The brothers patiently explained to the officer that the plates are, in fact, differ- ent: In one, "TO" is spelled with a zero, and in the other, it's spelled with a capital O. "Nobody likes getting pulled over by police, we were both nervous, but it's a great story and we will tell it all week- end," Andy told Fox8. [Fox8, 8/1/2019] Wait, what? In a product expansion move that inspires one to shout, "Stay in your lane!" Oscar Meyer announced on Aug. 1 that it is entering the des- sert category with the Ice Dog Sandwich -- an ice cream sandwich with cookie "buns" surrounding bits of candied hot dog meat and spicy mus- tard ice cream. United Press International reported that the company partnered with a New York ice cream company to create the confectionary treat. BONUS: French's an- nounced the day before the creation of its own mustard- flavored ice cream together with Coolhaus. [UPI, 8/1/2019] Least competent crimi- nals Michael Harrell, 54, strolled into a U.S. Bank in Cleveland on July 29 with a note de- manding cash from a teller: "This is a robbery. Don't get nobody hurt." Unfortunately, according to WJW, he wrote the note on a document he had apparently received from the Ohio Bureau of Motor Ve- hicles, which included his full name and address. The teller, who called Harrell by his first name after seeing it on the letter, gave him $206 and summoned police, who later arrested him. [WJW, 8/1/2019] Question : I'm so disappointed that "Who Wants to be a Mil- lionaire" has been canceled. Any chance someone else might bring it back? — Betsy Matt Roush : This differs from the typical "will someone rescue my favorite canceled show" question because we're now talking about the world of syndication, which involves complicated issues of owner- ship and distribution. It was Disney's call to suspend pro- duction after 17 seasons. I'm thinking the company may be merely resting the franchise for a while, and I'd be surprised if "Millionaire" doesn't return in another form on another platform after some time has passed. Given the success of ABC's summer game shows in prime time, that could be an option for a network comeback. Or maybe it will become an element of Disney's streaming service. To submit questions to T V Crit- ic Matt Roush, go to: tvinsider. com by Damian Holbrook Cheers to "Fear the Walking Dead" for going with the nucle- ar option. Radioactive zombies? Yes, please! The recent intro- duction of walkers made even wonkier by a reactor meltdown may be the creepiest twist the AMC show (with Karen David) has ever come up with! Jeers to Camille Grammer for being 9021-over-the-top. In- stead of returning to "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" smarter and more sensible than her first stint, "Saint Camille" was shady, snippy and stormed off the reunion in such a bon- kers way, she made the rest of the gaggle look regal.
