O ur Alpha Delta home was built in 1928 and expanded in the 1960s but, for the most part, has remained unchanged. The house is no longer large enough for our 250+ members to live, socialize, sit down for meals, and conduct chapter meetings. We know that something must be done to address these issues. 808 Richmond Avenue is undergoing a complete transformation. Our mission is to renovate and expand our chapter house to meet today's safety standards, collegiate expectations such as including Wi-Fi throughout the facility, and to create spaces for our chapter to gather together. These necessary updates will be accomplished all while incorporating historic touches that make us who we are as a chapter. RENOVATION NEW WING Lower level: • Convert existing kitchen space into an exercise room. • Convert current dining room into new study spaces and an executive board leadership office. • Repurpose existing space to create a craft room, laundry room, bathroom, and additional study rooms. First floor: • Remodel to become a fully ADA compliant facility. • Refurbish and redecorate all existing social areas and common spaces. • Replace all first-floor bedrooms with a new lounge and house director's suite. • Upgrade the iconic circular staircase in the original entry to be a beautiful focal point upon entering the Alpha Delta chapter house. Second and third floors: • Replace all bedroom furniture. • Add new guest suite with a private bath for Gamma Phi Beta visitors and guests. • Update chapter president's suite with a private bath. • Update existing bedrooms to create six single- bedrooms for executive board members. • Add new lounges with new technology and furnishings. • Add laundry facilities to each floor for easy access. First floor: • A multi-function space to be used for dining, chapter meetings, and events. • A state-of-the-art kitchen to be able to offer meal plans to all members in hopes to allow more women an opportunity to eat, study, and gather at the chapter house. Second and third floors: • New elevator with access to all floors. • A beautiful and spacious patio located above the kitchen suitable for outdoor gatherings during football season, Parent's Weekend, and Homecoming. • Fourteen new rooms to include bedrooms, lounges, and study space. • Community-style bathrooms on each floor. Amenities include: adequate power, lighting, ventilation, mirrors, private, contained toilets and showers, and appropriate storage for shower caddies. • Recent rebuilds: Chi Omega, Delta Gamma, Sigma Sigma Sigma, Zeta Tau Alpha • Recent additions: Delta Delta Delta, Kappa Alpha Theta, Kappa Kappa Gamma • Recent renovations: Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Phi, Sigma Kappa • Future projects: Kappa Delta, Pi Beta Phi • Many fraternities on campus have done major facility renovations or complete rebuilds.
