The Alpha-Phi Zeta's INSIDE Alumnus Spotlight 2 Welcome, New Members 2 Thank You, Loyal Alumni 3 Alumni News 3-4 Since 1917 Spring 2019 LAMBDA CHI ALPHA IS IN GOOD HANDS AT UA I t is a pleasure to congratulate High Alpha Reed Schwartz, AΦ1809 and the newly elected team of officers that will lead our Chapter for the coming year. The House Corporation looks forward to a productive and meaningful year with this group. Special thanks to last year's leadership group that was led by High Alpha Ryan Siegfried, AΦ1781. This group faced some challenging situations head on and provided strong leadership when it was most needed. Last fall's Homecoming was a great success as well. Alumni, parents, and other guests were treated to food and beverages as we prepared for another Tide victory. Roy Gregg, AΦ881 was awarded the Jerry Dean Hillman Outstanding Alumnus Award for his continued dedication to the undergraduate Chapter. Also, receiving awards were two undergraduates, Ross D'Entremont, AΦ1786 and John Harrison, AΦ1830. Special thanks again to Becky Schuler and her staff for making Homecoming even more enjoyable. The lifeblood of every Chapter is new initiates, and we welcome the 28 new members, listed inside this issue, into our Lambda Chi Alpha brotherhood. As always, we ask that you consider supporting the Lambda Chi Alpha House Corporation through an annual gift. Your support is greatly appreciated and needed. In Z.A.X. Wayne Keith, AΦ775 House Corporation President wayne@keithair.com Alpha-Phi Zeta Celebrates the Success of Several Brothers I t is my privilege to share with you the news from another school year at Alpha-Phi Zeta of Lambda Chi Alpha. This January, we were proud to initiate 15 new members into the lifelong brotherhood of Lambda Chi Alpha. During this spring semester, we associated 14 new members who will complete their associate membership prior to the beginning of April. This furthers our goal as we plan to increase our membership from 104 brothers to 140-plus by next January. Please contact Recruitment Chairman Davis Bandi, AΦ1882 at davisbandi@gmail.com if you have potential candidates in mind. We would also like to highlight the outstanding accomplishments of some of our undergraduate brothers. Ross D'Entremont, AΦ1786 was named UA's "Most Outstanding Junior" and has raised over $25,000 for a new center to help those affected by sexual assault. Ross also completed his second term in the Student Government Association (SGA) as the vice president for Academic Affairs. Along with Ross, Matteo Taraborrelli, AΦ1872 served on the cabinet of Academic Affairs this past year and was just elected as senator for the College of Arts and Sciences as he continues our involvement in SGA. Congratulations are also in order for John Morgan Harrison, AΦ1830, who won the 2018 River Pitch Brothers Ryan Siegfried, AΦ1781, Ross D'Entremont, AΦ1786, and Ethan Haynie, AΦ1839 at the 2018 General Assembly as Ross receives the Cyril F.
