Fourteen new brothers were initiated this past fall, and this spring sees a pledge class of four—smaller, but still brimming with potential. The brotherhood has adapted well to the newly instituted five-week pledge program, led by Magister and model Sig, Joe Venusto '19. The recent pledge classes have truly enjoyed the Preparation for Brotherhood, thanks to Joe and his integration of leadership and team building exercises. They have entered Delta Psi as fantastic additions to our order. With officer elections having taken place in March, the current officers are looking to wrap up their goals by the end of their terms. Work for the Five-Star Greek organizations rating program is underway as Delta Psi seeks to rank on top here on campus for the fourth year in a row. In March we also hosted another Pinewoods Dinner, a night looked forward to by many here at the chapter, and by many others on campus, where brothers enjoyed interacting with professors and administration in a less stressful setting. Preparations for Derby Days continue, and we are happy to announce that Delta Psi is far ahead of the pace needed to reach $20,000! We have raised roughly $15,000 so far, thanks to the brotherhood effort on numerous philanthropic events and generous alumni donations. Please help us reach our goal at hope. huntsmancancer.org/huntsmanchallenge/rensselaer- polytechnic-institute. Delta Psi is on track for another successful end to a great academic year, and we will continue to do our best to be a model for the Greek world both here at Rensselear and for Sigma Chi internationally. Thank you for the continued support. If there are any questions or comments for the undergraduates at large, feel free to contact me at the email address below.
