Recognizes Scholarship Winners
D
uring Family Weekend in October, the Pinewoods Educational Foundation (PEF)
recognized four outstanding undergraduate Delta Psi Sigs with $2,000 scholarships.
Two scholarships were awarded from the Arch Love '50 Foundation to brothers meeting
the criteria established by Brother Love: Scholarship, Demonstrated Leadership, and a
high level of Service to both the fraternity and the community. Our four scholarship
winners were: Aiden Gorby '20, Elijah Hinds '20, John Glendye '21, and two-time
winner Joe Venusto '20!
The Pinewoods Educational Foundation kicked off the 2018-19 academic year with
the return performance of the "Resume and Interview Skills" workshop led by Dennis
Powers '63 on September 15. We held the workshop on campus so we could (and
did!) attract more non-Greeks. As in previous years, we solicited students' resumes
in advance, and Brother Powers and I provided written feedback to the more than 30
participants. Many thanks to Dennis for the resume feedback and workshop, a training
favorite specifically requested by the active brothers for early semester assistance with
job and internship interviews.
