Brother Gary Hawkins '61 presented John Madden '60, Bill Jones '60,
and the Bud Thompson family with hand-carved Bulldog head plaques.
Glenn "Percy" Marchant '75, chairman of the board of governors, pre-
sented Tim Hudson, Truman '97 with a specially designed cowbell.
House Corporation President Robin Fant '81 provided those in attendance
with an update on the Embracing Your Alpha Chi Legacy campaign and
had the honor of introducing bother Bill Jones '60 to the stage to announce
his campaign challenge. Brother Bill announced that he would be donating
an additional $100,000 and he requested that 40 brothers step up by mak-
ing $2,500 donations or pledges to the campaign by May 1, 2019, to meet
his challenge.
Along with Phi Tau's successful banquet celebrating many of our brothers,
Mississippi State recognized one of our brothers. During the third quarter
of the Louisiana Tech versus Mississippi State football game, John Mad-
den '60 was honored for his several years of military service to the United
States of America. Thank you to all of those who came to celebrate with us!
