If you are dreaming about participating Proud Neighbors of Quartzsite (PNQ) D����� M�������� Looking for 4th of July participants QUARTZSITE - The Annual 4th of July celebrations are already being planned for this year. It is hoped to be anoth- er very successful event again. The Quartzsite Business Chamber of Com- merce has been asked to coordinate the celebration. They invite any non- profit organizations who would like to participate to contact them and be a part of it. They are looking for organizations who would like to set up and sell food, drinks, desserts, etc. The celebration will start at 6 pm with the activities and food. Then there will be a spectac- ular fireworks display at dark, thanks to the Quartzsite Fire Dept. and Town Hall. More details will be made avail- able as time gets closer and the final preparations are done. If your organization would like to be a part of the celebration, please call the Quartzsite Business Chamber of Commerce at 928-927-9321. There are several inquiries already, so get your name in now. M�� 19, 2010 Newlyweds Wendy and Kelly Noland celebrate at Mountain Quail Cafe Newlyweds Wendy and Kelly Noland joined friends and members of their church for a dinner at Mountain Quail Cafe on Saturday, May 15, 2010. The dinner was sponsored by “The Colo- nel”. Colonel Bart is a regular at the cafe and resident Mountain Quail RV Park, said he “just wanted to share the happy occasion”. They met in 2008 in Baker City, Oregon at a res- taurant where Wendy worked. On Sunday, the two were baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ, Latter Day Saints and welcomed to the com- munity. Senior Center happenings Fridays at 10 am, we will be providing space for sewing, crafts and whatever your hobby is. We have donated material to make quilts for the children’s library and the crisis center, also cool collars for the troops. We will be doing this all summer so get out of the heat and join us on Friday mornings at the Quartzsite Senior Center. Join us for lunch Monday through Fri- day at noon sharp. Suggested donation of $2. Reserve your space by signing in the day before. Stop by and spent some time in the cool air, we have daily WiFi, cards and numerous games available so get your group together and come on down. Cof- fee, tea and water is ready at all time. The Junky Junction Yard Sale will hap- pen every other month. The next Junky Junction will take place on Friday and Saturday, June 4-5 7am to 1 pm. Then on August 6-7 7am to 1 pm there will be more opportunities for sales. Painting rocks leading up to Rockin’ in Quartzsite will take place every Monday morning 9-11. Stay for our delicious lunch.
