4 Gamma Crescent Gamma undergraduates at AΓP's 65th National Convention in New Orleans this August. Honoring the Sickle and Sheaf Gamma Members Attend 2018 ΑΓΡ National Convention in Louisiana T he 65th AΓP National Convention was hosted August 2-5 in New Orleans and was the second most attended convention with 552 par- ticipants. It was an amazing opportunity for Gamma members to engage with undergraduates and alumni from across the country and learn new techniques and how to strengthen their leadership abilities. Many younger Gamma members look forward to attending AΓP's 66th convention in 2020. Helping Hands Chapter Focuses on Philanthropy and Assisting Those in Need T his semester, the brothers of Gamma Chapter have done a fantastic job at giving back to the state college community. At our annual Day of Service, we built, painted, and donated more than 15 bookshelves to local churches and daycares that expressed a need for them. The Penn State com- munity was very grateful as well for our generous contributions to the IFC Thanksgiving Basket and the IFC Book Drive. We also had a guest speaker from Stand for State come to the house and present on how everyone can become a better leader. Along with the sisters of Phi Sigma Sigma, we have had tremendous success fundraising for THON through corporate spon- sors, ribboning trips, and an AΓP date auction. Alumni and active members spent the day watching the football, playing games, and making new relationships. The night concluded with a spirited song night that reminded all what being a Gamma man truly means. Fraternally, Nick Litak '17 (Γ1759) • VNR Alumni Relations A throwback to the fall issue of the Gamma Crescent, which featured members such as Bill Kincaid '51 (Γ662) as well as the late Chuck Rightmire '50 (Γ600) and Ken Thomlinson '50 (Γ604) outside of the chapter house. Financially Sound T hings are heading in the right direction for Gamma Chapter fi- nancially. We switched over to OmegaFi for billing this semes- ter, and it has been a very smooth transition so far. It is very easy to use the website, and our adviser has been a huge help whenever I have questions or concerns. We are also up to date with all bills and alumni rent for the semester, and I will continue to be on top of this making sure we don't fall behind. Fraternally, Chad Steinberg '16 (Γ1744) • VNR Finance
