Delta Tau Delta page 2 T hanks to our fantastic alumni support, we have been able to complete several recent upgrades at the Shelter. Next time you stop by the Shelter for a tailgate, be sure to ask the men for a tour to see how the house has changed. New features include: • Added library seating • Breakfast nook and cabinetry • Formal room fireplace • Original entrance subgrade and drainage restoration • Re-surfaced basketball court • Backyard fire pit • Exterior paint • Updated entryway flooring • Landscaping You'll also notice that the university is building a new football training facility in our backyard as seen by following this link: https://www.kansascity.com/sports/college/ big-12/university-of-kansas/article209213739. html. Unfortunately, our view will be forever changed. Your support to help provide exterior and landscaping improvements would be much appreciated. Let's hope the new facility at least helps us earn a few more wins next year. The undergraduates had another great year in 2018. Setting a Gamma Tau record in modern memory, the Delts sat in the top three on the Hill with a 3.22 GPA. We had 33 new members move in this fall, and all were initiated this November! We are off to a great start and have already received dozens of recommendations and names from alumni, but Delt needs more names! We need the names of your sons, your nephews, your neighbors, the kid who mows your lawn. We are looking for both high school seniors who are interested in attending KU next year, as well as current freshman on campus to fill out our spring class. If you know a young man currently on campus, we would love to talk to him! We are currently recruiting throughout the Midwest, and are hosting events in the Wichita area, Lawrence and Topeka, KC Metro, Saint Louis, Dallas, and Chicago. Please send all names to recruitment@kansasdelts.org. You can also send them directly to the advising team at kudeltadvisor@gmail.com. Give us your men and let us turn them into Delts!
