Eleven Eleven Report Gamma Tau Chapter of Delta Tau Delta university of kansas n fall 2018 B rothers, this semester is the home stretch for the current executive board. Like our previous semesters, we are looking forward to completing the goals we set forth at the beginning of our tenure. It is especially important to me that we accomplish each goal as this is my fourth and final semester serving as chapter president. Gamma Tau's mission statement for the semester is to "Invest in the Vision." To us, this means uniting as Delts to achieve greatness on campus, in the community, and within our national Fraternity. It is with great fervor to announce that this past spring semester the chapter earned a GPA of 3.22. Such a GPA distinguished us in the top 10 fraternities on campus. The chapter is also very excited to welcome a fall 2018 pledge class consisting of 33 new members. Initiation took place on Saturday, November 17. We appreciate all alumni who came to show their support in welcoming the newly initiated members into our brotherhood. The active chapter size is the largest it has been for many years at 92 members. Recruitment, as you might expect, is underway for next fall. If you have any potential recruits that you think will be great Delts, be sure to forward their contact information to the recruitment chairman. As the end of semester approaches, as always, the chapter will begin the transition to its new officers, maintaining and further improving our chapter. As my time comes to an end, I would like to articulate my gratitude to the alumni and the chapter as a whole. My time as secretary and two years as chapter president has provided me with personal growth and experiences that I will cherish for the rest of my life. For that, I am indebted. The chapter has come so far in my short time. The success and fidelity of the chapter is, in part, contingent on the support of alumni. My one request is that alumni continue to invest in and stay involved with Gamma Tau. I look forward to my last semester and truly am excited for the future of Gamma Tau. Again, I personally want to thank you all for your support on the behalf of all of us undergraduates as we continue to make Delt more and more successful. Fraternally, Bryson Brown '19 Chapter President bryson_brown96@ku.edu (785) 249-3403 Exemplifying the Core Principles Gamma Tau Leads Greek Community in Academics and Recruitment Members represent Gamma Tau Chapter. G amma Tau continues to achieve academic success, boasting a spring 2018 GPA of 3.22! We had 19 Kershner Scholars, which is an honor awarded to those achieving a 3.5 or higher semester GPA. Thirteen of our Kershner Scholars earned this honor last semester as well. Without a doubt, our success is due in part to our alumni's commitment to academic excellence. Through alumni support, we were able to expand our recently renovated library study area to include even more seating. With this momentum, we are expecting excellence this semester. Gamma Tau thanks you for your constant support and the donations that make national and chapter scholarships possible. Fraternally, Pavan Rao '20 Academic Chairman The Pursuit of Academic Excellence Gamma Tau Boasts 19 Kershner Scholars
