Quartzsite, AZ - Buck Connors Western Days Festi- val is three full days of family fun at Quartzsite Town Park. Free Admission - Free Parking! Organizers planned a wide variety of events; there's something for everyone! Be sure to check out all the details in the Special Pull-out Program Guide in this issue! The Quartzsite Historical Society kicks off the weekend with a Free Historic Pioneer Sites Tour Fri- day, Nov. 9th at 8:30am. Quartzsite Off-Road and the Sunriders ATV Club are hosting a Free OHV Cattle Drive Parade at High Noon followed by UTV Challenge which starts at 2pm. Check out the Mer- cantile with 40 vendors displaying their wares. Wet your whistle at the Chamber Saloon which opens at noon. Alaska Dan will be performing live on stage from noon -2pm and the Kids Li'l Buckaroo Coral will have lots of activites for the youngsters. Enjoy an exciting view of the park riding on the Zip Line Attraction running along the whole length of the baseball fi eld. At dusk there will be free showing of Buck Connors Western movies. Saturday morning the Quartzsite Chamber & Tour- ism hosts a 5K Run, Walk, Rock & Roll fundraiser at 8am. Opening Ceremonies at the stage start at 9am with VFW Post 769 Jr. Color Guard, followed by en- tertainment by the Old Time Fiddlers. The Branding Iron Art Show & Gallery opens at 9am in the Com- munity Center, as does the Show off Your Horse- power Car Show on the grass on the ballfi eld. Ven- dors and Food Booths are open 9am-6pm. Cowboy Chili Cookoff starts at 11am and the Chamber Saloon opens at noon. Kids Coral is open 10am-4pm with a petting zoo and lots of activites for the youngsters. QPD Explorers will host a Jail & Bail fundraiser! Dr. Buck Montgomery - Former Disney Animator & Hollywood Stuntman brings his WILD WEST SHOW where The Wild Bunch will present FREE Wild West Stunt Shows 10am-5pm. Stuntmen will perform up- close and personal, authentically dressed for the Wild West in an action packed show complete with blazin' guns, punches and...punch lines! The world's most famous trick roper lives on thru Will Roberts. Amazing roping tricks, humor and audience participation make this a great addition to Buck Con- nors Western Days. Mysterioso's Old West Medicine & Magic Show features old time illusions, Old West Humor and lots of interaction. Lee Anderson and his wonder horse"Concho" Nationally known Cowboy Historian, Horse Trainer, Author and Storyteller. No tickets are needed for the FREE Wild West Shows at Town Park 10am-4pm. Following the Free shows at the Park, Dr. Buck's WILD WEST SHOW will present a Special One-Of-A-Kind Stage Show at the Quartzsite Improvement Association (QIA) Sat- urday night. The QIA will host a tasty BBQ dinner, which starts at 5:30pm; the Stage Show will start at 7pm. Plan for a great night out at the QIA! The din- ner and show is only $15/person. Purchase your tick- ets at the QIA Monday thru Friday 9am-noon and at Ironwood Outpost, or online at EventBrite.com. On Sunday, Cowboy Church service by Pastor Bruce Swart starts at 10am. The VFW Post 769 hosts their Vet- erans Day Ceremony at 11:00am. Shopping continues at the Mercantile until 2pm.
