Given the many jobs Casey has held in her professional life, she encourages undergraduates and younger alumnae to find as many experiences as they can, in the hopes of finding their passion. "I am more entrepreneurial and like to be my own boss, so I've always created my own path." Working on the new house has been a welcome challenge for Casey and everyone else involved. She described the planned interior as classically southern traditional. "Beautiful white crown, hardwood floors, pale walls, with tall picture framed box molding. The interior furnishings are classically styled, but with youthful patterns and fabrics. The color scheme is a mixture of blues, pale pinks, mixed with cremes and caramels. We are using several different wallcoverings in the entry, dining room and bathrooms." "The scale of the project is very large, and working with two different architecture firms and the university creates challenges," she noted. "We're trying to mesh everyone's ideas into a cohesive design that will make the sisters proud and happy, and will be functional for sorority life. This team is truly putting their heart and souls into creating a beautiful and timeless home for Delta Gamma." Casey and her husband, Steffan, live in Fayetteville, Ark. They have two boys: Noah is an engineering student at the University of Kansas, and Cade is a senior at Fayetteville High School. As a family, they love to travel the world and bike the trails of NWA. Casey's work can be found at www. caseysarkininteriordesign.com, and she can be reached at caseysarkindesign@gmail.com.
