Kappa Kappa Gamma 5 We are so sad to say goodbye to our wonderful seniors, but we are so excited to see where their future takes them. Some of our members enjoying the warm Colorado weather. Epsilon Beta Looks Forward to Chapter Home Renovations Kappa Keeps up Academics and On-Campus Involvement E psilon Beta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma had a great spring semester! Our new Chapter Council started off the year with a retreat that focused on bonding as well as planning to lead the chapter in 2018. We all came back to school after winter break to a new addition being built where our parking lot used to be. It will be so wonderful to return to school in August and be able to enjoy living with 13 more women as well as being able to host all of our chapter formal dinners and chapter meetings in our beautiful new home. We have had members participate in many things from Fraternity and Sorority Fest, to philanthropic events around campus, and fun sisterhood events. This semester, we hosted our new philanthropy, Kappa con Queso, at our chapter house. Everyone enjoyed being able to take a peek inside the remodel and enjoyed the warm weather in our front yard. The proceeds were donated to Reading is Fundamental. We also enjoyed having a new sisterhood social with Pi Beta Phi. We played trivia and learned a lot about each other's chapters. We celebrated Mom's Day at the Red Barn and welcomed all of our moms with a beautiful brunch and music from Kappa Pickers. This semester, the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life at CSU hosted the annual FS Awards. We were nominated for Excellence in Risk Management and Harm Reduction and Membership Development. We were honored to have three individual nominations from our chapter. Jenessa Romo '16 and Blair Whitworth '15 were nominated for Member of the Year, and Keira Nalty '15 was nominated for and won Scholar of the Year. We are all very proud of these women. Over the past year we have continued to maintain our GPA above the all- university women's average, and we were able to raise it even more! We enjoyed celebrating our 67 scholars during our scholar dinner. As the 2017-2018 academic year came to a close, we were able to celebrate the seniors at their senior dinner and senior preference night. It was bittersweet to watch this chapter of their lives come to a close, but it will be very exciting to see where their new paths take them. As they enter the world as alumnae, we know they will have not only our support as they continue on, but that of the entire Kappa Kappa Gamma organization as well.
