E-mail: donhelen6586@sbc.global.net Duane M. Stoskopf '55 has been semi-retired since 1998. He spent 10 years soliciting pledges to pay for the new Chapter House. Duane and his wife, JoAnn, are working on sending their 10 grandchildren to college; eight down, two to go. Robert W. Exline '56 has had a success- ful home, family, and business life in Sali- na, Kan. He fondly recalls his years in the "old" SigEp house and his brothers. E-mail: marbobex@cox.net Thomas N. Frederick '56 helped publish The Hoop in the '50s. He was among those who moved into the "new" house at 1015 Sunset. Wayne L. Krehbiel '56 married his second wife, Janice, in December 2016, after his wife Patti passed away from Alzheimer's. His step-daugh- ter, Jill, passed away in 2014. Wayne retired from ASCPA in 2012 and retired as president of Orion Petro in 2016. A.J. Scribante '56 strongly encourages the Chapter to employ and live by the Balanced Man development program: mind, body, and spirit. Kansas Beta was one of the top three Chapters on campus when A.J. was an undergraduate brother. E-mail: ajscribante2@gmail.com H. Jay Varner '56 lives alone since the pass- ing of his wife, Kay. They met at K-State and were married for 58 1/2 years. E-mail: jkvarner@etczone.com Leroy D. Vandenbos '58 taught and counseled in the department of defense schools in Wies- baden, Germany, from 1965-1973. While teach- ing, he completed his master's degree from Bos- ton University's overseas program in 1970. After eight years overseas, Lee returned to Topeka, Kan., and was an elementary school counselor from 1973-1994. After that, he originally planned to spend a year in Europe teaching so he could ski in the Alps but ended up staying for eight years. Jackson '67 enjoyed attending the Chapter's 100th anniversary in February, see- ing the house and campus again, and meet- ing with other brothers from the 1960s. E-mail: jackhjackson@aol.com James P. Nelson, D.V.M. '68 spent two years in the USAF after graduating from veterinary school. During the next 40 years, he engaged in mixed and small animal practice in Missouri, Kansas, and Colorado. Now Jim is retired, which has given him the opportunity to travel, camp, and just hang out with his grandchildren. How- ever, his main vacation is just puttering around. "Woody" Wood '69 has sold resi- dential real estate in the Denver Metro area for the last 40 years with The Kentwood Com- pany. He always enjoys staying in touch with Kansas Beta brothers and reading The Hoop. Woody enjoyed seeing everyone at the 100th anniversary in February. Ronald and his wife, Elizabeth, lead photo workshops and tours in various locations around the world.
