T he highlight of this year was celebrating Kansas Beta's centennial and the 100 years of memories it has created. As a Chapter we strive to become balanced men upholding the ideals of SigEp. The Chapter House remains full, with 68 members living in, and we have continued our involvement on campus and in the community. In February, 12 of us traveled to Oklahoma City for the Carlson Leadership Academy. At the event, Max Kuhn '17 received the Zollinger Outstanding Senior Award, given to one senior from each district. We are also proud of Max for recruiting three new spring members in his last semester as recruitment chairman. Ste- phen Flaspohler '19 was voted the new di- rector of finance for the Interfraternity Council, continuing our involvement on the IFC board of directors. Academically, we remained in the top 10 for fraternities. While we stayed in the same po- sition, we saw an increase in GPA and have set a goal to return to the top five. We had two philanthropic events this spring benefiting the American Heart Association and Autism Speaks: Hot Dogs for Hope on April 12 and Late-Night Wings and Karaoke on April 26 with Alpha Xi Delta. We are looking forward to Greek Week and hoping for another top place finish; something we have accomplished two out of the past three years. We continue our high level of per- formance in intramurals, especially in basket- ball and indoor soccer this spring. Alumni, we thank you for your continued sup- port. For those who were able to celebrate centennial with us, we hope you had a great time and look forward to seeing you again in the future. For those who were unable to make it, we are working on an event in Kansas City and a Cats football tailgate in the fall. If you are interested in the alumni mentor program, please visit our website to learn more and fill out the registration form. Our Chapter looks forward to maintaining our success and is working to continually improve where possible. We look forward to the next 100 years and the success we hope to bring.
