Ruth Cline writes that her husband, Charlie Cline '51, passed on to
Chapter Eternal in June 2016. Charlie served in the U.S. Army, had a
B.S. and M.S. in engineering, and designed ground communications for
the Apollo Space program. Charlie and Ruth were paired up at a Beta and
Theta Greek party. They were married for 64 years. Ruth says, "The party
was the luckiest day of our lives."
Dan Danner '75, in a recent message, lets us know that his grandfather,
James A. Black 1918, was a charter member of Delta Sigma. As most
of you know, Delta Sigma was our fraternity until we were granted our
charter by Beta Theta Pi in 1923. With Dan's pledge, he says he "looks
forward to doing my part to return the favor for all the fine memories!"
Congratulations to JC Crum '10 on his marriage to Caro Lann. JC
attached a note with his pledge for the housing campaign that said, "Beta
Theta Pi will always be one of the best decisions I've ever made. It formed
my strongest friendships, opened up doors professionally, and moreover
helped teach me life lessons that I try to apply daily. Donating to such a
worthy cause is the least I can do." E-mail: cjmurc@gmail.com
