TAU KAPPA EPSILON q BETA ETA CHAPTER q MISSOURI S&T q SPRING 2018 BETA ETA DATA What We Have Accomplished Matters— Thank You for Securing Our Future Beta Eta Sets Goals for the Future W ords cannot describe how proud I am to be a Teke—especially a member of Beta Eta Chapter at Rolla. Thanks to alumni dedication, generosity, and commitment, more than 235 of you Fraters helped raise $1,238,865 to build our new home at 3 Fraternity Drive. Our goal was to make an environment as safe and efficient as possible while creating an intriguing educational experience. In addition to meeting the undergraduate needs and desires, we wanted a structure where all alumni would feel welcome and proud to visit. Thanks to the Pride in Our Past: Securing Our Future campaign, our Chapter is financially secure. There are several important phases going forward for Tau Kappa Epsilon at Rolla. First and foremost, for those of you who have not yet completed paying your pledge, please do so according to the schedule outlined on your pledge card to ensure the overall success of the campaign. Although our capital campaign has come to a close, our need for a connected alumni base has not. Our alumni relations effort is focused on providing various avenues for our members to stay connected and give back to the Chapter that gave us so much. It is designed to help our members stay in touch and to cultivate awareness and involvement in Beta Eta Chapter. There are several elements that are key to the program's success: Beta Eta Data We will continue to mail two newsletters each year containing alumni news, information on upcoming events, reports on various Chapter activities, and lists of current undergraduate and alumni officers. Annual Support Even though the capital campaign has concluded, our need for your generous donations is still present. The contributions received as a result of biannual appeals will not only help sustain our overall alumni relations program, but will provide funds for a house maintenance reserve fund. Record Maintenance Once a year, we send out a biographical update that allows alumni to update the information we have on record. These updates also provide the information for one of the most popular features in Beta Eta Data, the Alumni News section. Altogether, the updates are a vital tool in maintaining our records and our ties with one another. Please be sure to include your email address with these updates as this is another tool we like to utilize to keep in touch with you concerning information and upcoming events. With all the support from our great alumni, we truly are grateful for the quality of living and structure we have been able to successfully provide for each class of Teke men that steps into our house. Teke has a great reputation locally, as well as nationally, and we want to thank every person involved in helping us keep it that way. Thank you to the current leaders of Teke and alumni for helping make such a great experience for so many. Yours in the Bond, Michael McEvilly '78, BH615 Campaign Chairman TKE Educational Foundation Board of Directors mike.mcevilly@huskyenergy.com (713) 907-3160
