3 T his spring marks the completion of yet another year in Beta Sig- ma's long history of academic and philanthropic excellence. From achieving a 3.18 GPA to embarking on a variety of spring break trips to provide services to the community, the women of Beta Sigma truly embody the teachings and values unique to Sigma Kappa. Beta Sigma Hosts Successful Sketti Dinner On April 6, the chapter welcomed the entire Greek community to our home for another great SKetti Dinner. Every sister helped promote unity in the Purdue Greek community and raised awareness for the Sigma Kappa Foundation. We had a fantastic turnout and all funds raised will be donated to our foundation. Sisters Live Each Day with Heart Purdue University's spring break was March 12-16. Many sisters traveled all around the world to Peru, Cuba, Iceland, Florida, Paris, and more! Many participated in mission trips as a way to live each day with heart. Cas- sidy Brown '16 traveled to Cardenas, Cuba, with 13 other Purdue students through St. Thomas Aquinas. "Most days we visited the poor, el- derly, and sick," she said. "We got to do a vacation bible school with children in a village more inland in the countryside one day where we taught them songs and played some games to teach them about Lent." Sabrina Ho '16 traveled to Cus- co, Peru, on a medical mission trip where each day she would shad- ow at various clinics and partici- pate in medical campaigns. "We would assist doctors with patient care and I got to see what medi- cal and healthcare were like in a third-world country. The second half of each day we would travel to poorer regions outside of Cusco to provide free medical care to the community." Thank You, Alumnae Without support from our generous alumnae through scholarships and vol- unteers, Beta Sigma would not continue to excel. We would like to thank each and every one of you for your kindness and generosity over the years. You prove this bond is truly for a lifetime! We would love for you to stop by and visit us any time.
