Beginning Tuesday May 1st, we will be open, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00 to 12:00. Opening an hour earlier and closing an hour earlier, we need to avoid the heat of the day as much as possible. Remember we are air-conditioned. Thanks "Bag Lady" Pat, who almost every other day brings in folded and fl attened bags for our cashiers. Thanks so much to all our "bag ladies". We have donated $1000.00 to the QPD Training Cadet Program. Thank you to all that supported with donations into our special red kettle by our holiday tree. We are now collecting for our Salvation Army Team to walk, run or bike for the Special Olympics event on May 2nd. Go Team!!! Silent Auction for two new quilts will happen every two weeks. This 2-week period we have a large zoo animals and Daffy Duck theme handmade lap throws. Come see. A big thank you to Don Richardson of Don Richardson Excavation, Inc. for our new beautiful HUGE decorative rock for our front parking pad. Thanks so much!!!You are awesome!!! We have a very large unusual store display piece for sale. This piece is on three large railroad type wheels, stands 39 inches tall and has ¾ inch safety glass top. Measures 54 inches by 42 inches and has locking wooden storage. Would make a wonderful store display. Remember our Salvation Army Discovery Camp June 18-22, 2018. Pre-Registration forms are now being accepted online only with a soon approach- ing deadline of May 1st. Come in and get addi- tional details. No cost for this wonderful experience for children ages 7-12. Our Red Kettle Campaign pays for these camperships. ICE (In Case of Emergency) Cards are now available at The Salvation Army front counter. Asking AGAIN, for that special guy or gal that loves to tinker with electri- cal small appliances- things with cords. WE NEED YOU! We provide the tools and supplies for minor repair, cleaning, and pricing of items like cof- fee pots, toasters, vacuum cleaners, clocks, radios, crock pots- you get the idea. We are air-conditioned and provide water/coffee and often home- made cookies, cakes, pies etc. Am I enticing you? Come see us and get an application to become a summertime volunteer.
