Music, activities, sanctioned events and more come together each year for a weekend of fun and festivities. This year includes a new event to kick off the annual spring fes- tival. Wednesday, April 25, from 6-9 p.m., at Festival Park, don't miss Cork & Fork. The event features an evening of chef-in- spired gourmet creations paired with the perfect complimentary elegant wines while serving as a fundraiser for Kid- sPeace. Tickets are $40 each and can be purchased online at www.faydogwoodfestival.com. Additionally, The Dogwood Festival is taking its traditional three-day format and expanding it to a four-day weekend, with the official festivities kick- ing off on Thursday and continuing through the weekend with extended hours on Sunday. The Fayetteville Dogwood Festival hours: • Thursday, April 26 5-10 p.m. • Friday, April 27 5-11 p.m. •Saturday, April 28 noon -11 p.m. Sunday, April 29 noon-9 p.m. The Thursday addition to the Dogwood Festival will feature a band and food vendors exclusively. The traditional festival elements that include sponsors, vendors, mid- way, activites and more will begin Friday. Live music at Compare Foods Stage: The Dogwood Festival sells front row seating for the Compare Foods Stage in Festival Park for $25 each.
