As summer is approaching, it may still feel of winter or spring; however, April and May are the busiest months of the year for escaped control burns. Even with the recent rains the potential for escaped control burns still exists. Most of the annual grasses are in the dying stage and only need a few days of sun to com- pletely dry. Burn hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The fire must be completely out at 5 p.m. on per- missive burn days.
