SPRING 2018 INSIDE: Sisterhood Inspires Change p. 2 • Chapter Officers p. 3 • Minutes Ago... p. 4 THETA OMEGA UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS he women of Delta Delta Delta's Theta Omega Chapter are pre- pared for an exciting spring semes- ter. Informal recruitment took place in early February and we are so excited to welcome 12 new members to the class of 2017. The new members are in the midst of com- pleting their eight-week training program in preparation for their initiation on April 8. Since receiving a bid the new members have gotten to join in attending our Cupid's Crush date party, dinner exchange with the men of Kappa Sigma, and karaoke social functions. TRI DELTA'S LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE This February four members, Ashley Frantz '16, Kali Boydston '16, Anna Stienike '16, and I attended the Collegiate Leadership Conference in Dallas. There we learned more about our po- sitions and duties and prepared new goals and ideas to implement in the chapter. Nearly 130 years after our founding, we continue to raise the bar and elevate Tri Delta—as a society created to be "kind alike to all." This vision provides us ways to be brave, bold and kind as a premier women's organization. In February, at Collegiate Leadership Con- ference, our members were celebrated, chal- lenged and empowered as Tri Delta's brightest young leaders. A renewed recommitment to kindness—Live Kind. Lead Kind.—was also unveiled to our collegiate members. This initiative is supported through our four strong pillars of philosophy, philanthropy, policies and programming; and it will give Tri Delta the opportunity to focus our en- ergies on who we are through the virtue of kindness. It bridges the connection of "live, learn, lead"—what we do, and "brave, bold, kind"—who we are - as a premier women's organization. You can look forward to more on Live Kind. Lead Kind. as we prepare for Convention 2018 in Dallas, Texas! This year, Convention will be bigger than ever, and will be kicked off with our inaugural leadership develop- ment program, LEADDD. This exciting one- day program will feature Laura Bush, First Lady of the United States (2001-2009), and a full slate of exciting speakers and dynamic workshops. So, bring YOU (and the family, too) to the beautiful Gaylord Texan Re- sort & Convention Center in Dallas/ Ft. Worth, Texas! Register today at www.tridelta.org/convention2018. We are also excited to celebrate another milestone this summer when we dedicate the new Ginger Hicks Smith Museum & Archives at Executive Office. Through the generous gift of a cherished Tri Delta leader, our new museum and archives will feature our history, membership and commitment to serving others. Now, more than ever, Tri Delta is provid- ing a premier sorority experience for women across the world. Many thanks and gratitude for your contin- ued support of our Fraternity as we leave our legacy for future generations of brave, bold and kind Tri Delta sisters.
