PENINSULAR CHAPTER OF ALPHA DELTA PHI FRATERNITY • SPRING 2018 T he Alpha Delta Phi alumni and volunteers have really made an impact on the Preserve Our Future, Restore 556 State Street campaign. We're very grateful to everyone who has helped us raise more than $1.84 million. To get us over the $2 million mark, we have issued a challenge that will help propel the campaign toward its goal. We have established some recognition awards for various alumni eras, defined as up to three contiguous years of graduating classes, who have made significant financial pledges. Each defined era will receive recognition in a location in the house specifically designated for that era's contribution. Several eras have already been designated for recognition. For example, Sean O'Leary's era consists of the classes of 1989-91 and they have been given the upper deck as their designated recognition area. John Hartwig's era consists of the classes of 1966-68 and they have been given the bar room as their designated recognition area. In addition, the Holmes family has been awarded the living room for recognition. The following are the remaining available recognition areas and the pledge amounts required to secure the recognition for each area: (1) Brothers Room $200,000 (2) Library $200,000 (3) Front Porch (ground level) $200,000 (4) Ante Room $300,000 Additionally, any single graduating class that raises a collective $25,000 or more will be recognized on a plaque to be displayed in the dining room. We were all naturally closest to our graduation class; we went through similar experiences and ultimately graduated together. What a great way to commemorate your time together! Think back to your days as an undergraduate. We learned a lot at UM, but learned even more through our experiences as Alpha Delts. In many cases Alpha Delta Phi was a stepping stone for careers and taught us the meaning of brotherhood and true friendship. Without the Peninsular Chapter, we would be very different people today. We are so appreciative of the early support that numerous alumni have already shown. Because of their funding we have been able to facilitate the construction on our much-needed renovation. It is our duty, as alumni, to keep ADPhi a place where future brothers can learn and grow as individuals and as a collective group. Being a part of this era and class challenge will be very fulfilling and something you and your brothers can be proud of. Please do your part today by returning the enclosed pledge card with an appropriate-sized gift representing your experience. We sincerely thank you for your support today.
