ALUMNI UPDATE
Colonel George Dalziel '42 hit the century mark
in November 2017. He lives in Montgomery
Village, Md.
Bruce Johnson '43 and his wife, Jeane, live in
Los Gatos, Calif. He is fully retired and is excited
about the renovations to the chapter house.
Paul "Bob" Mullen '52 has slowed down but
stays active by playing golf twice a week. Bob

John Stack '55 and his wife, Martha, celebrated
60 years of marriage in June and 43 years of

Martin Eby Jr. '56 recently celebrated his 10-year
retirement from ATT board of directors and 20-
year retirement from Eby Construction with trips
to Singapore, Indonesia, Scotland, England, and
Canada. Martin lives is Wichita, Kan.
Lawrence Lee Werhan '57 plays a lot of
golf and enjoys spending time with his nine
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren

Chet Wilcox '61 spends about four weeks in
Kansas each fall for K-State football and to visit
relatives. The rest of the year he lives in South

Tom Mistler '63 and his wife, Joan, live in the
Raleigh, N.C., area close to their son, Bill, and
daughter, Carolyn, and her three children. Their
other daughter, Susan, lives in Hong Kong with her
three children. They recently visited the campus
to see the inauguration of President Richard B.
Myers '65. Tom is happy to see SAE doing better

James Breneman '64 retired this year but stays
busy serving on the Prairie Village Planning
Commission and as facility chairman at his church.
Daniel Fankhauser '67 serves on the city
commission for Garden City, Kan., and is the
former mayor. Dan and his wife, Vivian, have
been spending more time in Colorado Springs,

Rick P. Sackbauer III '72 shares that he's
happy to see the kitchen renovations, especially
because "those who were in the chapter from
'69-'75 know how much the kitchen meant to
Bessie and I." Rick lives in Vail, Colo.
Russ Bishop '73 is retired and living the good
life. He still remember working with Bess in
the SAE kitchen during his college years. Russ

Dr. James W. Eubank '76 and his wife, Robin,
moved to Kayenta, Ariz., in the Navajo Nation
where James works at the Kayenta Animal Care
Center, a nationally recognized vet tech assistant
program. Robin teaches a direct care workers lab in

Terry Garvert '77 retired in May 2016, and
has become a more active volunteer for the non-
profit, Tractors for Africa. Terry also volunteers
for Future Farmers of America. He and his wife,
Linda, live in Plymouth, Minn.
Jerome Chandler II '78 and his wife, Jackie,
live in Oro Valley, Ariz. They recently sold their
Snap-On tool business after 15 years and plan
to continue traveling and spending time with
