Thank you. f FarmHouse Fraternity University of Nebraska-Lincoln l @FarmHouseUNL V I S I T U S O N L I N E Keith R. Erlewine '52 entered Chapter Eternal on March 5, 2017. He and his wife, Rosemary, were devoted members of the Saint Mark's Methodist Church in Sacramento for 50 years, serving on church boards and singing in the choir. They had unending devotion to their three children (Randy, Kris, and Karen) and six grandchildren, who frequently visited them in the summer. Their great passion and source of pride, working side by side for hours, was gardening, maintaining an enormous vegetable garden (which consistently provisioned the church sharing table to benefit Heifer International), along with large flower gardens. Together they enjoyed traveling, staying at B&Bs, ballroom dancing, tennis, playing bridge, and were members of the same gourmet group for 30 years. Stanley A. Matzke Jr. '53 entered Chapter Grand on November 2, 2017. In 1965, Stan became the first director of the University of Nebraska School of Technical Agriculture in Curtis. He was a professional and personal mentor to countless people throughout his life. Stan had a lifelong interest in good government and ran for political office, including secretary of state and mayor of Lincoln. For 20 years he and his wife, Dorothy, lived on 80 acres south of Lincoln near Panama. They planted over 7,000 trees and shrubs. He won the UNL Alumni Achievement Award and joined the Nebraska Hall of Agricultural Achievement in 1995. Stan is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Dorothy; children: Allen, Jeanne, and John; and eight grandchildren. Chapter Grand Alumni, we appreciate your input as we seek to fill the ranks of the next Nebraska FarmHouse class.
