These are numbers from in- house tests using standardized Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) protocols. The strength of the wash action is derived by the agitator and wash basket working together in a series of long and short strokes. This results in multidirectional water motion, more cleaning area and superior wash results. The new top load also is 2.5 times quieter than the previous design, while producing a faster spin speed of 820 RPM (vs. 710). A faster spin speed translates into more moisture being removed from loads. That means less drying time and less time overall spent on the laundry task. Unlike other top load washers on the market, Speed Queen's utilizes a patent-pending autofill technology that ensures your load is filled to the correct level based on load size and fabric type. This cutting-edge system continually checks to make sure there is enough water to get the most effective wash, without increasing time, while not putting stress on the machine. WHAT HASN'T CHANGED?
